How to use Tabby?

Tabby is super easy, convenient and safe to use. Here is what you need to do: 

  • Add all your items to the basket and checkout
  • Select Tabby as your payment option once you reach the payment page
  • Confirm your mobile number and email ID, and click on ‘Continue’
  • Enter the 4-digit verification code that was sent to your registered number
  • The final step would be to upload a copy of your Emirates ID before making the payment.

And that’s all. You can go ahead and complete your order.

  • Now shop and split your payment into 3 instalments. No hidden charges or interest.

How to use Postpay

Postpay is user-friendly, easy and safe to use. Here is what you need to do:  

  • Add all your items to the basket and proceed to the checkout page.
  • Enter your delivery address and select Postpay as the payment option.
  • In the next step you will receive a 4-digit OTP that will be sent to your registered number.
  • Once verified, you will see your order amount split into three equal instalments.
  • The first instalment will be processed immediately and the remaining amount will be split in the following two months.

And that’s all. You are good to go!

  • Minimum order amount - AED 100
  • Maximum order amount - AED 10,000
  • The customer can use either a Debit or Credit card to make the purchase.

What are the requirements to apply for Tabby?
You need to be at least 18 years old, have a valid Emirates ID and an active local phone number. (The ID and phone number should belong to the same country you’re shopping in). Opt for Tabby once you reach the checkout page and we’ll guide you through the process.

How does the Tabby instalment option work?
Tabby’s instalment option allows you to spread the cost of your order over several months. You only have to pay 25% at the time of order placement. The remaining 75% can be repaid in 3 equal monthly instalments of 25% each. You can manage your orders by logging into your Tabby account. 

Note - It is interest-free and accepts both debit and credit cards

Can I pay for my order via Tabby before my due date?
Yes, simply log in to your Tabby account with the registered mobile number used during your purchase and select the order you would like to pay for. 

Is there a credit limit with Tabby?
Yes, there is a minimum and maximum you can spend on a single purchase with Tabby. This will depend on what Tabby payment you choose.

  • Minimum order amount - AED 200

Why can't I find Tabby in my payment options on the Payment page?
The Tabby payment option will not be visible to you if your basket value is lower than the minimum or higher than the maximum amount.

Why am I unable to pay using Tabby?
Your payment may have failed because:

  • You haven’t paid for previous orders that you made using Tabby. You need to clear at least one pending payment to place new orders with Tabby.
  • You have an overdue payment with Tabby. This means you may be blocked from using Tabby until the overdue payment is cleared. You can continue to use Tabby after you make your payment.
  • Your basket value exceeds the maximum limit of AED 25,000 (for paying in instalments).
  • Your request may have been declined because of Tabby’s risk policy or Terms and Conditions.

How will I know when the Tabby payment is due?
You will be given reminders prior to the due date, including 24 hours prior to collecting any instalment. You have the option to change the payment method if required, from the Tabby account. 

Pay in instalments - You need to pay only 25% at the time of purchase. The remaining 75% can be paid in 3 monthly instalments.

How do I pay Tabby back?
Tabby will automatically charge the card entered by you during their purchase, when the instalments are due. You can change the card to be charged from the tabby account here.

Note - Tabby accepts both debit & credit cards.

What happens if the Tabby automatic repayment fails?
You will be notified by email and will get 24 hours to add a valid payment method. You will be charged a late fee if you’re unable to repay Tabby on the specified due date.

Where can I view the orders and outstanding amount on Tabby?
Log in to your Tabby account to view all orders/dues here with the same phone number used at the time of transaction.

Why can’t I find Tabby in my payment options on the website payment page?
The Tabby payment option will not be available if, your basket value is lower than the minimum required amount of AED 200

Why am I unable to pay via Tabby?
Your payment may have failed due to the following reasons:

  • Your payment for previous orders made through Tabby may be pending. You need to clear at least one pending payment to place a new order with Tabby.
  • You have an overdue payment with Tabby. You may be blocked from using Tabby until the payment is cleared. You can continue to use Tabby once you make your payment.
  • Your request may have been rejected due to Tabby’s risk policy or Terms and Conditions.

How can I get a full refund for the order purchased through Tabby?
Once the cancellation of your order is confirmed by our team, we will initiate a full refund back to the source account. You will receive the amount within 14 business days + future instalments will be waived off.

How can I get a partial refund for the items purchased through Tabby?
In case of a partial refund, the difference will be adjusted on the customer’s remaining instalment Plan.

  • If the refund amount is less than 75%, the first 25% down payment is not affected. To reflect refund, the customer’s future monthly instalments will decrease in equal amounts.
  • If the refund amount is more than 75%, the first 25% down payment is also affected. To reflect refund, the customer’s future instalments will be waived off AND the remaining amount will be refunded (from the down payment they had made) back to their source account.

What happens if the Tabby order goes out of stock or is cancelled?
If the order is cancelled, whatever instalment that the customer paid will be automatically refunded to the customer’s card.

Can a customer change the instalment tenure after placing an order?
No. Unfortunately, it cannot be changed at a later stage. If the customer is facing any financial trouble, please reach out via email to help@tabby.ai in order to assist with this matter.

My Tabby payment is due, however, I haven’t received my products yet. What should I do?
Please get in touch with Tabby if you haven’t received your order yet. They will adjust your account to ensure that you won’t need to make a payment until the issue is sorted.

Are there any additional changes when I pay with Tabby? What are the fees I need to know about?
There are no charges, fees or interest when you use Tabby. However, Tabby will apply a late fee penalty if you do not pay the amount back in time. Click on the link here, to know more about these charges.

Postpay | FAQs


Who is eligible to use Postpay?
You must be 18 years old to use Postpay and must also have a valid Emirates ID card and UAE mobile number.

What happens if I miss an instalment payment?
After two days from the due date, there is an additional AED 25 Late Payment Fee if the system was unable to deduct the amount automatically. Following ten days from the due date, there will be an added AED 30 Late Payment Fee charged if the system was unable to deduct the amount automatically.

Is it possible to scheduled due date?
It is not possible to adjust the instalment plan since it is an automated system.

What if I decide to cancel all/some of my items?
Due to the fact that Postpay is an online payment service that only helps with “Pay in Instalment” plan, they don't manage any cancellations. All refunds must be processed directly by the retailer. Once we have initiated a refund/cancellation request, you will immediately receive an email with your updated Postpay instalment Plan.

Common Issues for Getting Denied by Postpay

Are there any overdue payments with Postpay?
You must complete any pending overdue payments with Postpay before proceeding with another instalment plan. Your payment will go through successfully once completed.

Are there already 3 ongoing instalments with Postpay?
3 is the maximum number of ongoing instalments you can have with Postpay. Since you have reached the maximum number, you are required complete the payment of one ongoing instalment plan in order to add another. Your payment will go through successfully once you complete the for one of these ongoing instalments.

Do you have a valid UAE debit/credit card?
In order to complete your purchase with Postpay, you will need a valid UAE credit or debit card. Postpay does not accept international cards presently and also, does not accept pre-paid cards.

Why is my card getting declined?
Insufficient funds may prevent the purchase from being completed or overusing a credit card's maximum amount. Try changing the card in case you cannot complete your payment. Moreover, the system will automatically block an account for 30 days if a customer attempts to complete a purchase but is denied several times.
